The Art
Graham Carter
Graham Carter is a successful and much sought after Brighton based artist and illustrator who uses both traditional and modern printing processes. His work is modern, witty and enchanting and is bursting with wondrous characters, landscapes and creatures. It has been exhibited in galleries worldwide including his own Hove based Gallery, Boxbird. Each work is original in its conception and not a reproduction of other work and allowing him to print on such interesting materials as Japanese plywood.
He studied at the culturally lively University of Brighton and at Central St Martin's, London. After his studies, Graham founded the critically acclaimed Peepshow Illustration Collective and more recently has become a Director with Animation Studio Ticktockrobot working on a variety of personal projects and commercial animations for a variety of clients.
His work has graced major national advertising campaigns for Aviva, Bupa, Orange, Waterstones, Visa and Monster.co.uk. His illustrations can also be spotted in a wide variety of editorial publications such as The New Scientist, The Guardian and The Sunday Times.
